There are many ways and preferences to light up Charcoal/Briquettes. Some of the methods are using Electrical Charcoal Starter, Chimney Starter, Paraffin Starter or other Fire Starter products.

No matter what method is being used, practice cautions and follow starter product instructions carefully. Never use gasoline, kerosene or other highly volatile fluids as a starter as they can explode.

A general guide:
1. Place twisted pieces of paper/firestarter at the base.
2. Stack Briquettes/Charcoal above fire starter.
3. Ensure sufficient ventilation is provided for briquettes to burn.
4. Light paper or fire starter, following fire starter instructions.
5. Briquettes are ready when they start burning and glow red.
6. Rearrange briquettes as required and start BBQ!
